Spread the fabric onto the work surface design-side down. Smooth with your hands to remove any wrinkles or catches in the fabric. Place two layers of quilter's batting on top of the fabric and smooth. Place the door onto the layers of fabric and batting.

Pull the fabric over the corners of the door tightly and secure with the staple gun. Continue until all four corners are secure. Much like wrapping a present, wrap the sides of the door with the fabric and secure with staples on the back of the door. Continue until entire door is wrapped and secured. Flip the door onto its front.

Locate the areas on the door where you previously drilled. Using the ends of the scissors, make small slits in the fabric and batting. Pull ribbon through the buttons and insert the ends into the hole in the door until they are visible on the back. Pull the ribbon as tightly as you can while making sure the button is straight on the fabric side of the door. Using the staple gun, secure the ribbon ends to the back of the door. Continue until all buttons have been secured.

Mount the picture hanging kit onto the back of the door according to the manufacturer's directions. Pull the wires tight to ensure a snug fit with the wall for hanging.
