How to Make Fairy Wings in Adobe Photoshop 7
Adobe Photoshop is often used to edit images and photos for various graphics projects. But it also may be used to draw images and other graphics. An example of this would be adding a decorative set of fairy wings for a project like a greeting card or a illustration. You might think that to make realistic fairy wings you would have to be an experienced graphics artist, but Photoshop has tools that make the process quick and simple.

1
Open Photoshop. Select "File" from the menu and choose "New." In the dialog box that appears, enter the size you want for your fairy wings. So that the resulting wings can be used in other documents, make the "Background" "Transparent" and click "OK."
-
2
Go to the bottom of the tools palette and click on the "Foreground" color to change it to what you want for the overall color of your fairy wings. Then select the "Pen" tool.
-
-
3
Use the tool to draw in the rough shape of your wings. Click the mouse to add points. Photoshop will connect these points with lines known as a path.
-
4
Select the "Convert Point" tool and use it to click on one of the points. Use the bars that appear on either side of the point to adjust the shape of the lines between the points. Repeat this for each point to produce smoother looking wings.
-
5
Go the "Layers" palette on the lower right and select the layer. At the top of the palette, reduce the "Opacity" of the layer to about 60 percent. Save your work. This image can now be used in your other projects.
