Candy bars are one of the favorite treats of many. Cake is another. Put these two sweet treats together and the dessert if over the top. Surprise your family and friends with a wonderful Butterfinger candy cake that you can whip up quickly and just refrigerate for three hours. Serve to your guests in wonderful slices right out of the fridge. Children will love helping with a recipe like this--and the eating is even more fun. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 2 angel food cakes
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 16 oz. container of refrigerated dessert topping
  • Large spoon
  • 7 Butterfingers bars
  • Large bowl
  • 13-by-9 inch pan

      Mix in a large bowl the dessert topping, egg whites, confectioner's sugar and butter. Mix well with a large spoon.

      Crumble up the two angel food cakes and stir into the big bowl of dessert topping mixture. Put half of this cake and dessert top mixture into the 13-by-9 inch pan.

      Sprinkle half of the frozen crushed Butterfinger candy bar onto the angel food cake mixture. Put the rest of the cake mixture on top of the crushed candy. Sprinkle the remaining crushed candy on top of the cake. Refrigerate for several hours before serving. Spray some whipped cream on top of each piece and put a cherry on top.

Tips & Warnings

  • Substitute other frozen candy bars in the place of the Butterfingers.
