How to Create a Baby Scrap Book

Document your baby's first steps in a scrapbook.

Creating a scrapbook is a way for proud parents, family members and friends to document a baby's developmental milestones in pictures, words and decorative embellishments. It can be done as a group activity or individually with the right tools and decorative supplies. Document your baby's first smile, first step, first tooth and more! A scrapbook dedicated to your baby is a treasure that the entire family will appreciate for many years to come.

Things You'll Need

• Scrapbook
• Scrapbook paper
• Glue
• Tape
• Scissors
• Pens and markers
• Decorative embellishments like stickers and stencils
• Baby photographs
• Baby documents

Instructions

1. Gather all of your baby's pictures, along with copies of important documents that you'd like to include, such as your baby's birth certificate or first health record, in the album. Organize them in the order you'd like them to appear in the baby book.

2. Avoid overloading each page with too many pictures and decorations. Space out your artwork and use multiple pages to tell your baby's story.

3. Attach the pictures, letters and documents to individual scrapbook paper using tape or glue. You can decorate each page using glitter, markers, stencils, cut-outs and stickers.

4. Allow each page to dry (if you used glue) before affixing it to your actual scrapbook. Place a heavy book on each page to iron out any wrinkles and prevent the corners of each page from curling at the edges.
