Choose a BitTorrent file that has more than one user downloading the content at the same time. This increases the speed of the download (the more users using the file the faster it downloads).

Download one file at a time. Downloading a half dozen audio tracks at the same time greatly reduces the speed each file has to download (as each file is sharing the bandwidth on your Internet connection).

Close out other Internet programs, such as your Internet browser, iTunes store and instant messenger. All of these programs also draw on the Internet connection speed, reducing the amount sent to to BitTorrent 6.1.2.

Contact your Internet provider and opt for a faster connection. Most Internet companies have a variety of different connection speeds and the next available tier is often twice as fast.
