Instructions

    • 1

Clean your coffee pot's carafe and filter basket with soapy water. To remove the filter basket, open the lid on top of the coffee pot and lift the basket out. Thoroughly rinse them off when you are finished. This is only necessary if you have never used the Gevalia coffee pot before.

    • 2

Re-insert the filter basket into the Gevalia coffee pot. Add the desired amount of coffee grounds to the filter basket. Gevalia recommends adding 12 scoops (using the included scoop) for one pot of coffee, or one scoop for every cup you wish to make.

    • 3

Fill the carafe with the desired amount of water, based upon the amount of coffee you want to make. Use the markings on the side of the carafe to determine how much water is in it. Pour some out, or add more to reach the desired amount, if needed.

    • 4

Open the water reservoir lid on the back part of the Gevalia coffee pot. Carefully pour the water from the carafe into the reservoir. Insert the carafe onto the warming plate. Make sure the two lids on top are closed and that the coffee pot is plugged in.

    • 5

Press the "Start" button twice to begin brewing your coffee. Even if you are brewing a full pot it should only take about five minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the Gevalia coffee recipe doesn't work for you, add to or reduce the amount of coffee grounds. The more coffee grounds you have compared to the water amount, the stronger the coffee.
