How to Remove Acrylic Latex Paint

- Rubbing alcohol
- Cotton balls
- White paper towels
- White cloths
- Club soda
- Hydrogen peroxide

Rinse as much of the paint out of the garment as possible if the paint is wet. Apply rubbing alcohol to the spot, then let it sit for several minutes. If the paint is dry, soak the paint stain in rubbing alcohol for 10 minutes.

Wipe the paint away with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol. Rinse well in warm water.

Launder the garment as usual. Allow it to air dry. Do not place it in the dryer as the heat will set the stain for good. Inspect the garment once it is dry. If the paint is still visible, soak the stain in rubbing alcohol for another 10 minutes. Rinse well, and launder as usual.
Carpet

Fold several paper towels at the perforations, and blot up wet paint. Replace the paper towels as they become soiled with paint. Repeat until you are no longer lifting paint from the carpet. Mix a solution of 1 tsp. dish detergent in 2 cups of warm water. Wet a sponge and blot (don't rub) the paint stain until it is no longer visible.

Pour club soda on a white cloth to treat dry paint stains. Blot (don't rub) the paint stain until it is no longer visible. If the club soda does not lift all of the paint, pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide on a white cloth and blot the stain until it is gone. Be sure to test for color fading on a hidden area of your carpet before using hydrogen peroxide.

Wet a white cloth with warm water, then rinse the area by blotting the stain. Allow the carpet to air dry.

Wipe up as much of the paint as soon as possible. If the paint is dry, mix 1 tsp. of dish detergent with 2 cups of warm water. Wet a white cloth with the detergent solution and gently scrub the paint stain.

Wet a cloth with warm water, then wipe the stained area. Apply rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball and use it remove any residual paint.

Wet a clean cloth in the detergent solution and wash the area. Rinse with a wet cloth, then dry with a clean towel.
