1
Draw assorted flower shapes onto the felt with the fabric pen. Make each flower shape a different bright color and vary the shapes of the petals. Make some flower petals rounded, some pointed, some with four petals, some with five petals and others with six petals. Make each flower shape approximately 3 inches in diameter.
-
2
Draw the centers of the flowers with the fabric pen out of contrasting felt colors. Make the centers approximately 1 inch in diameter and shape them into circles or ovals.
-
-
3
Cut out the flower petals and the flower centers with the scissors.
-
4
Draw the leaves of the flowers with the fabric pen onto green felt. Make the leaves 3 1/2 inches in diameter and vary the shapes of the leaves to include rounded and pointed leaves.
-
5
Cut out the felt leaves with the scissors.
-
6
Heat up the glue gun to glue the flower pieces together.
-
7
Place one leaf piece onto a flat work surface. Stack three or four different flower shapes on top of the leaves, gluing the first flower shape to the leaf and then each flower shape to the one on top. Vary the flower shape placement so you have different petal colors and shapes to create a striking flower. Arrange each flower shape so you can see the petals after you stack another flower shape over it. Glue a flower center in the center of the top flower shape and allow the glue to cool.
-
8
Glue as many flat sequins as you desire onto the top of the flower shape to give the flower added pizazz and color, sprinkling the sequins around the center of the flower.
-
9
Glue the entire felt flower to the flat top of a pin back and allow the glue to cool completely before you wear the felt flower.
