Monthly Calendar
-
1
Lay your heavy card stock on a flat surface and tape the corners down with low-tack painter's tape. The painter's tape will ensure a firm hold without tearing the paper. Clear tape and masking tape both have a tendency to tear or pull off layers of paper.
-
2
Press the entire rubber or silicone surface of your calendar outline stamp onto your ink pad. If the stamp is larger than the pad, rub the surface across the pad to ink it.
-
-
3
Press the stamp onto the paper. Do not move the stamp once it makes contact with the paper, or your lines will smear. Remove it by lifting it straight up and off the paper.
-
4
Choose the month name stamp for the calendar you want to make and press the stamp into your ink pad. Press it onto the stamped calendar in the space above the grid of squares.
-
5
Refer to a calendar or your knowledge of which day of the week the first day of the month lands on and ink your "1" stamp to press it on to the first day square of that week's column.
-
6
Finish stamping the rest of the numbers in order in their respective squares. Allow the ink to dry before removing the tape and hanging your calendar.
-
7
Decorate your calendar before using it, by designing it to fit your room. To do this, use scrapbook stickers or image stamps with different colored inks to add some style. Use stamps in the squares for holidays like Christmas tree stamps for December 25th or Easter eggs on the Easter date square.
-
8
Add color to your calendar with colored pencils. Color any areas of your stamped words and images that are void of ink coverage.
