Instructions

    • 1

Fold the scarf diagonally into a triangle. Because of the size, there will still be plenty of material to work with to cover your entire head.

    • 2

Rest the folded side of the triangle against the middle of your forehead or just along the hairline. The spot depends on the size of your forehead. Those with small foreheads will need to position the scarf at the hairline so the band doesn't sit right at the eyebrows. For an average or larger forehead, placing the folded edge at the center works best.

    • 3

Pull the sides of the triangle scarf to the back and tie. Make sure you tie the scarf so it is secure and does not slip. Silk scarves may shift, so you might want to use a few bobby pins toward the base of the tie to secure the scarf to your hair.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fix your hair before putting on your headscarf. A low bun or loose waves both suit a headscarf.
