How to Delete Windows XP Professional Setup
Windows XP Professional is a popular operating system among PC users. A successor to Windows 2000 Pro, XP Professional offered several new features to its users, including Windows Media Center, Windows Server domains and dual processors. You can remove Windows XP Pro from your computer if you plan on upgrading to Windows Vista or reverting to a previous operating system like Windows XP Home or Windows 2000. You can either use the Command Prompt or the Add or Remove Programs tool to execute this task.

Reboot your computer. Press the "F8" key during startup to force boot your computer into Safe Mode. Use the arrow keys to select "Command Prompt" from the list of options. Hit the "Enter" key.

Type "cd\" and press "Enter." Type "cd\windows\system32" and press the "Enter" key again.

Type "osuninst.exe" and press the "Enter" key. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the uninstall process for Windows XP Professional.
Add or Remove Programs Tool

Reboot your computer. Press "F8" to force boot your computer into Safe Mode. Use arrow keys to choose "Safe Mode." Hit "Enter." Wait patiently as Windows XP Pro boots in Safe Mode.

Click on the "Start" button and select "Control Panel." Make sure to click on "Switch to Classic View."

Double-click on "Add or Remove Programs."

Scroll down the list to find "Microsoft Windows XP Professional Setup." Click on it and click "Uninstall/Remove."

Click on "Yes" to confirm the uninstall process.
