How to Draw a Religious Cross
Religious artwork is a way to show and celebrate your faith in an artistic and creative way. The Holy Cross is one of the most recognizable and meaningful symbols to followers of the Christian faith. To demonstrate your Christianity through a work of art, you can draw a religious cross. You do not need professional drawing skills to draw the simple shape of the cross.

1
Lay a sheet of drawing paper on a flat work surface like a desk or table.
-
2
Hold your ruler vertically over the paper and draw a 10-inch vertical line with your pencil, using the edge of the ruler as a guide to make your line straight.
-
-
3
Place your ruler horizontally at the bottom of the line an draw a 2-inch horizontal line from the bottom of the vertical line, to two inches to the right.
-
4
Place your ruler horizontally at the top of the vertical line and draw another 2-inch horizontal line parallel to the previous line.
-
5
Connect the ends of the 2-inch lines with a vertical 10-inch line. You should now have a rectangle on your page.
-
6
Measure 2 inches down from the top of the rectangle, and make a small mark with your pencil. Measure 2 inches down from that mark and make another mark.
-
7
Hold your ruler horizontally across your rectangle at the first mark you made with your pencil. Draw two 2-inch lines, one on either side of the rectangle, using your ruler as a guide.
-
8
Hold your ruler at the second mark you made and draw lines on either side of the rectangle exactly as you did on the first mark. You should have a basic shape of a cross, but with open ends at this point.
-
9
Place your ruler vertically at the left sides of the horizontal lines you made and draw a line connecting them, to close in the horizontal part of your cross. Do the same with the lines on the right side.
-
10
Erase the vertical lines that section off the horizontal part of the cross. These are the vertical lines at the center of the cross.
