Instructions on How to Crochet Dishcloths

- Cotton worsted weight yarn, one skein
- Crochet hook, size H
- Ruler

Chain 35 stitches for your foundation. This will be the width of your dishcloth. Turn and single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each chain stitch across the width, for a total of 34 single crochet stitches.

Chain three and turn. The chain three counts as the first double crochet stitch in the row. Double crochet in the next stitch and in every stitch across the row for a total of 34 double crochet stitches.

Chain one and turn. Single crochet in the first stitch and in every stitch across for a total of 34 single crochet stitch.

Crochet a double crochet row and a single crochet row, repeating this pattern until the dishcloth is 9 inches long. End with a single crochet row. Do not cut the yarn and do not turn.

Slip stitch twice in the end of the row for the corner. Continue to slip stitch in the end of each row to the beginning foundation row. Slip stitch three times in the corner. Continue to slip stitch in each foundation stitch. Then, slip stitch three times at the corner. Slip stitch in the ends of the rows to the last row. Next, slip stitch three times at the corner. Slip stitch across the last row. Slip stitch to the beginning slip stitch of the round. Knot the yarn and finish off. Weave the end of the yarn into the stitches.
