1
Get the subfloor clean and free of any obstructions or debris. If there are holes or cracks in the floor, patch them before proceeding.
-
2
Snap two intersecting lines across the floor. Set a square the intersection as you snap the second one to ensure they're square to one another.
-
-
3
Apply tile adhesive over the middle of the intersection, covering enough floor space to accommodate four linoleum tiles.
-
4
Set the first four tiles in place at the intersection, into the adhesive. Butt the edges of the tiles tightly against one another as you lay them. Press firmly on the surface of each tile as you lay it.
-
5
Spread additional adhesive and lay more tiles, working your way out toward the walls, using the four lines to keep the grid pattern straight. Cut any partial tiles that you need by the walls using a vinyl tile cutter.
-
6
Let the adhesive set for 48 hours.
