"The Sims: Life Stories" is a scaled down version of the "Sims 2" game. It is designed to work on laptops and computers that do not have the required resources to run the regular game. The game is not meant to have custom content on it, but there are ways to accomplish this. Many of the custom downloads for "Sims 2" will work on "The Sims: Life Stories," but it takes some trial and error to see which games run.

Locate the folder where the "Sims Life Stories" has been installed on your hard drive. Open the folder by double-clicking on it and find a "Downloads" folder. If it doesn't exist, then create a "Downloads" folder. Go to the "File" menu and select "New," "Folder." Type "Downloads" to create the name of the new folder.

Copy the "Sims 2" custom downloads by right-clicking on them and selecting "Copy."

Paste the desired downloads into the "Downloads" folder. Right-click on a blank area and select "Paste."

Run the game to see whether the content has been installed. If the game crashes when you start it, the game will not work. Delete that file and test other content.

Tips

"Sims Life Stories" is usually installed in "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims Life Stories" unless the user chose a custom installation.
