      Download and print out the application form from the Adaptive Access website.

      Take the form to your doctor to fill out all the disability information.

      Fill out the remaining form information, then take it and the $5 application fee to the county tax collector for your region in Texas. Call 512-465-7611 if you do not know the address of your county tax collector.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are two types of handicapped passes; permanent and temporary. Temporary passes are issued due to an injury that someone has suffered, but will heal over several months. Permanent passes are for those who are permanently disabled.

  • A temporary handicapped parking permit will need to be validated every six months. A permanently disabled permit is valid for four years.You will not need to fill out another application for the permit to be validated.
