How to Connect a PS3 Online Using Wireless
The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a high-definition video game console developed by Sony with numerous features including Blu-Ray playback, up to 1080p picture quality and Bluetooth connectivity. Another feature is the ability to connect the console wirelessly to the Internet with its built-in wireless adapter. Once connected, you can then log into Sony's free online gaming service, dubbed the PlayStation Network, where you can compete online against other gamers in your favorite games.

Turn on your PS3 console and access the cross-menu bar by tapping the PS3 button on your controller.

Scroll to "Settings" then select "Network Settings." A pop-up menu will appear. Choose "Internet Connection Settings." This will launch an Internet setup wizard.

Choose "Easy" to launch the Internet setup process.

Choose "Wireless" when prompted to choose a network configuration.

Choose "Scan" to have your PS3 automatically scan the area for wireless network signals. Afterward, it will show a list of networks in range.

Choose your desired network from the list after the PS3 finishes scanning. A list of security types will appear on the screen.

Select the type of security option associated with your router and then enter your router's password.

Review your Internet setup options and press "X" if everything appears correct.

Choose "Test Connection" to have your PS3 test your wireless Internet settings and connect online.
