How to Put AutoCAD 2006 on Vista

AutoCAD 2006 is a computer-aided design program. While the 2006 edition of AutoCAD is not designed to operate with the Windows Vista operating system by default, you can nevertheless install the program to your Vista computer, in minutes, and convince it to run by using the Compatibility Mode utility in your operating system.

      Double click on the AutoCAD 2006 installation file and select "Run."

      Click "Install" and follow the onscreen instructions to install the program to your computer.

      Open "Start," "Programs," and right click the "AutoCAD 2006" program file.

      Select "Properties" and click "Compatibility."

    • 5

      Select "Run this program in compatibility mode" and click "Windows XP" from the list.
