Remove Internet Explorer sponsered links from your explorer bars.

Internet Explorer offers an Internet browser with an interface that allows you to display vertical explorer bars in the left-hand side. When you select an explorer bar to display it, a navigation pane pops up on the left side of your Internet browser window and displays a column of the sponsored links you added to that explorer bar. Sometimes you might want to remove Internet Explorer sponsored links from the left hand side, such if you want to delete a link to a website from the history explorer bar.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Internet Explorer, and then click "View" from the horizontal menu at the top of the browser window.

    • 2

Scroll to "Explorer Bars," which will cause a sub-menu to appear. Click on the explorer you want to view (the options are "Favorites," "History" or "Feeds").

    • 3

Click on the sponsored link that you want to remove, to select it, and then press the "Delete" key to delete it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remove multiple sponsored links by holding down the control key as you select them and then press the delete key to remove them.

  • Beware of deleting sponsored links from the feeds or favorites explorer bars because you might have a hard time locating them later if you decide you want to re-add them.
