How to Use Microsoft Outlook With Lotus Notes
Microsoft Outlook is a popular productivity software application package produced by the Microsoft Corporation. Outlook has the capability to send and receive email, manage personal and shared calendars, and tasks. Lotus Notes is a competing productivity application package that is produced by the IBM corporation. Many times, Lotus Notes users will have the need to export data to use with Microsoft Outlook at their place of business or school. This task can be accomplished by exporting your Lotus data in NSF file format that can then be imported for use in Microsoft Outlook.

Double-click the Lotus Notes application icon on your computer's desktop to open the program.

Click the "File" and "Export" menu buttons from the Lotus Notes file menu.

Choose the "Tabular Text" output format on the subsequent dialogue menu in Lotus Notes.

Input a file name for the data file and choose a destination to save the Lotus Notes data by using the file chooser on the data export wizard dialogue box followed by clicking the "Save" menu button. Click the "Finish" menu button and exit Lotus Notes by selecting the "File" and "Exit" menu buttons.

Launch Microsoft Outlook by double-clicking the program icon on your desktop or by selecting the "Outlook" program icon from the "Program Files" sub-menu of the "Start" menu.

Click the "File" and "Import and Export" menu items. Choose the "Import from another program or file" menu choice.

Click the "Tab Separated Values" menu choice followed by the "Next" menu choice. Choose the Lotus Notes data file previously exported followed by the "Open" menu button.

Click the "Finish" menu button and your Lotus Notes data will be imported into Outlook for use.
