How to Upgrade Microsoft Word 97
An older version of Microsoft's popular word processor, Word 97 includes several AutoCorrect features such as detecting and changing misspelling that involve two words and changing network paths to Internet links. Microsoft terminated the remaining support options for the Office 97 suite of products in 2004. Because of the feature-lock and the lack of security updates for Word 97, Word 97 users may wish to upgrade to a newer version of the program. Microsoft supports upgrading Word 97 to either Microsoft Word 2000 or Microsoft Word 2002, which is a part of the Office XP suite.
