How to Talk in Counter-Strike

The "Counter-Strike" game franchise is one of the most successful series in the history of online multiplayer games. Groups of players, known as clans, from all over the world compete in a variety of different competitions. One of the innovations of the newer versions of "Counter-Strike" is the ability to use an external microphone to communicate with other team members for coordinated movements. The ability to talk in "Counter-Strike" gives a distinct advantage to teams who know how to efficiently carry out battle strategies.

Instructions

1. Load "Counter-Strike."

2. Choose "Options" from the main menu and select the "Voice" tab.

3. Click the "Test Microphone" button and verify that the microphone registers inside of the game.

4. Press the "Stop Microphone Test" button once the microphone has been properly configured.

5. Select the "Keyboard" tab and scroll down to the "Communication" area. Take note of the key assigned to the "Use voice communication" field. The "k" key is the default setting.

6. Start a match and press "k," the communication key, when you want to address other team members.
