How To Open the Door Lock in the Xbox "Still Life" Game

The Still Life lock-picking mechanism takes practice.

In Still Life, a video game for the Xbox, you play the roles of two detectives, searching for a serial murderer. At one point in the game, you are required to unlock the door of witness Mark Ackerman, in order to investigate his apartment.

Instructions

1. Approach Mark Ackerman's door and press "A" to knock on the door. This will convince your character that nobody is home.

2. Press "Y" to access your inventory and equip your lock picks (which you acquired in level 2). There is one round ("r") and one forked ("f") pick. Press "A" while facing the door to begin picking.

3. Think of each tumbler as a number, labeled one through 15, starting with the top row and then the bottom--moving left to right. The pick that you need to use to move each tumbler will be denoted with an ''r'' or an ''f.''

4. Pick the tumblers in this order, each with the denoted pick:
   1r, 10f, 2r, 3f, 4f, 12r, 5f, 6r, 4r, 14f, 12f, 14r, 7f, 4f, 15f, 4r, 6f, 6f, 14f, 7r, 13f, 13f, 6r, 6r, 8r, 9f.
