How to Find a Classmate in Ohio
Finding a former classmate in Ohio can be a rewarding venture. With today's modern technology and an abundance of classmate-finding websites, it is fairly easy to find school friends from the past. Some websites offer unlimited free searches while others require a small annual fee for the use of their services. High school and college alumni associations, local friends and family, telephone directories, newspaper archives and social networks like Facebook can also make finding an Ohio classmate an easy task.

1
Search class reunion information from your Ohio high school or university. Contact your high school alumni or college alumni association by calling the school directly. Many former classmates subscribe to school newsletters and send donations to Ohio alumni associations. The alumni association may be able to help you find a classmate in Ohio for free by researching their data bank. Due to privacy restrictions, some alumni associations and school administrative offices may not be able to give out information unless it has been officially released by the former student.

Contact friends and families that still live in the Ohio city where you went to school. Network with friends to evaluate where the classmate could currently reside. Ask local friends and family about the history of the classmate that you are trying to reach. Where does he currently work? Did she go to graduate school? Does he have any family who still live in town? Friends and family, including other former classmates, might have valuable information about a classmate.

Use the online AT&T national white pages. Search by name to find people in Ohio. If your classmate has an unusual name, it will be much easier to find him in the list. Common names make a white pages search in Ohio difficult unless you know specific details about the classmate, including current location.

Read old newspaper archives at a local Ohio library. Check with your local library to find out which databases are available to library patrons online. Some research, including newspaper archives, can be done using the Internet. Some of these sites are linked to county data and personal property taxes.
