How to Send Hampers Overseas
Sending hampers (more often called care packages or gift baskets in the U.S.) overseas can be confusing. There are many things to consider, such as price, reliability of the shipping company, availability of shipping in certain areas, package contents and time of year. All these things can greatly affect your ability to ship a package, especially if the package needs to arrive at a certain time. If possible, you should inform the recipient to watch for a hamper so that you can know in a timely fashion if there's a shipping problem.
Instructions

1
Measure the hamper's dimensions (height, weight, and depth). Weigh it if possible.
-
2
Determine how soon your package must arrive. If you're sending a hamper during a holiday season, take shipping delays into account.
-
-
3
Enter your hamper's dimensions and weight, as well as your shipping preferences (ground shipping, two-day, etc.) into several companies' websites to obtain a price quote.
-
4
Double-check that the company you choose ships to the destination country. Determine this via their website, or by calling the company directly.
-
5
Fill out a customs declaration once you arrive at your preferred shipping location.
-
6
Give the hamper and customs form to the clerk, and tell them how you'd like the hamper sent. Choose any additional services at this time, such as insurance or delivery confirmation. Keep your copy of the customs form as well as your receipt.
