How to Check a Wells Fargo Account on the Internet

Wells Fargo, like many other banks, offers customers the convenience of banking online. Customers can manage various bank accounts, from checking accounts to loan accounts, schedule bill payments and transfer money to other Wells Fargo customers. The process for signing up for online access is straightforward and doesn't take much time.

Instructions

1. Visit the Wells Fargo website (wellsfargo.com). Click the "Sign up now" link on the left side of the page to set up online access to your account.

2. Follow the directions to create access to your accounts. You will need to provide key information to gain online access to your accounts. This includes your social security number, bank account or ATM number and email address. You must create a username and password for logging in, as well. In some cases, a bank representative will call you to complete the registration process. The bank will send a confirmation of your registration by email or postal mail.

3. Log into your account. Type your username and password into the appropriate fields on the left side of the page and click "Go." This action signs you into the database and shows a list of all your accounts as well as the balance in each.

4. Click the link for the appropriate account. For instance, click "Checking" or "Savings." This action takes you to a page with a detailed view of account activities.
