How to Identify Drugs

How to Identify Drugsthumbnail
Identify prescription pills online.

Prescription drugs can be hard to keep track of, and it is not uncommon to lose the information brochure that comes with them. Luckily, if you need to identify a pill, you can use an online pill identifier to find the pill. By entering information about the imprint, color and shape of a pill, you can search a prescription drug database to find information on any prescription drug.

    Tips & Warnings

    • If the pill identifier didn't find the pill you have, you can take it to a pharmacist to have them identify it in person.

    • If the drug you have is not found by a pill identifier, the drug may either be a new drug that has not been added to the list yet, or it may be an illicit drug. You can also seek the assistance of a pharmacist.
