How to Make Your Own Comment/Message/Home/Picture Buttons
MySpace profiles have comment boxes that have buttons, which other users can click on to contact the user. These buttons are the comment button, message button and home button. The comment button allows you to leave a comment on someone's MySpace page. The message button allows you to send someone a private message. The home button allows you to return to that person's home page. The default MySpace comment box is plain and features a white background. Some people like to make their own comment boxes that feature a picture in the background and personalized buttons with their own sayings or messages. Some users put a picture of their favorite movie or actor as their background picture for their comment boxes. Luckily, there are plenty of free generators online that you can use to make your comment box and you can find them by doing a quick search for comment box generators.

1
Search for a website that offers a MySpace comment box generator. Begin by uploading your picture to the generator or link to where the picture is hosted on the Internet. If you upload, click on the "Upload" button and choose your picture from your hard drive. The picture is uploaded as the background for your comment box. If you link, locate the picture on the Internet that you want to use and copy and paste the url, also known as a web page address, to the picture into the url box located on the generator.

2
Choose the alignment of your picture or choose the option to autofit it into the comment box. Click on the alignment drop-down menu on the generator and align your picture to the left, center or right of the comment box. If you want the picture to cover the entire comment box, then choose the autofit option. This will cause the picture to completely cover your comment box, which is what many users want.

Select whether you want the comment box to have a border by clicking on the border checkbox. If you do choose a border, choose the color for the border and how thick you want it to be by clicking on the border thickness and border color drop-down menus and making your selections. The thicker your border is, the more visible it will be and the color should match your picture. The border will surround the edges of your comment box.

4
Denote the font settings by clicking on the font face, font size and font color drop-down boxes and choose what you want. This is the font that will appear on your comment, message and home buttons. If you want to personalize what your buttons say, type your version into the comment, message and home text boxes. For instance, some people change the comment to "Say Something" and message to "Message Me" and Home to "My Place". A good font is one that won't be too large for your buttons and corresponds with the background picture on the comment box.

5
Generate the code for your comment box by clicking on the generate button. The code will be a long string of HTML that appears like gibberish to a user who doesn't know computer coding. Then click on the code to copy it to your clipboard because most generators have a one-click copy feature. If your generator doesn't have that option, then manually hold down a click and drag your mouse over the code. Right-click and select "Copy". Go to your MySpace profile, log in and click on "Edit Profile". Paste the long string of code into the "About Me" box. Click "Save" to apply it to your MySpace page.
