How to Start a 4X4 Club
Off-road vehicles and 4x4s are increasingly popular, and their drivers are frequently passionate about both the truck itself and the lifestyle that the truck represents. Commercials for 4x4s often portray a "no limits" attitude with the vehicle taking its owner off of the crowded freeways and into the desert, forest, or mountains for an escape. Owners around the world have formed 4x4 clubs, with regular meetings and excursions that give enthusiasts the chance to interact with each other. Starting a 4x4 club can be done with some preparation.

1
Hire a web designer to set up a website for your new club. This will be the central hub that all members can visit to find out about upcoming events and interact with other members.
-
2
Establish a meeting place. Find a location where club members can meet regularly and bring their 4x4s. You'll need locations that have a lot of space and that are cost efficient, such as public parks. If you have your own property where you can set up a clubhouse, that would be ideal. You can also drive your 4x4s to a restaurant and have meetings over dinner.

3
Advertise your new club by visiting mechanic shops, dealerships, and auto shows. Print fliers that you can leave behind with club details, contact information, and whatever your dues will be per member.
-
4
Establish a membership and get everyone to post pictures of their 4x4s on the club website, so that people are already interacting with each other as you plan the first event.
-
5
Plan an initial meeting or event. Contact all the members and establish a date and location. At the event, talk to everyone to get their ideas about what they want to get out of the club and what events they would want to participate in.
