Instructions

    • 1

Pick out fabric from your local fabric or craft store. Ideally, you should choose a material that is think and durable such as upholstery fabric. Choose whichever design fits the style of your room and your personality. Depending upon the size of your chair, you will need between two and four yards of fabric to complete this project.

    • 2

Use your screwdriver to remove the back and seat from your office chair. Inspect your newly purchased fabric to ensure that it is clean and wrinkle free. Wash and iron if needed. Choose a large clean surface to lay your fabric on. Place your chair seat on the fabric and cut around it leaving at least three inches on all sides. Repeat this process with the chair back.

    • 3

Place your cut-out fabric on top of your chair seat. With the fabric in place, flip the seat over so that the bottom or underside of the seat is facing upward. Use your staple gun or upholstery tacks to secure the ends of the fabric to the underside of the seat. Repeat this process with the back panel of the chair. Reassemble your chair by replacing the screws on the underside and back panels of the chair.
