How to Register for a Bass Pro Hunter Safety Class
Safety is one of the most crucial aspects of learning to be a good hunter. Most states require some form of hunter safety class for new hunters. These classes are held at public and private facilities and usually registration is required prior to the class. One of the easiest ways to locate a hunter safety class is through Bass Pro Shops. Bass Pro retail stores are located across the country and are great venues for attending a hunter safety class. They provide the opportunity to take the class, purchase your hunting license, and grab your gear all at one place.

Locate a Bass Pro Shops in your area. Bass Pro retail stores are located across the country from California to Massachusetts and from Texas to Michigan. You can find a store near you by using the Bass Pro Shops website or calling their toll free number, 1-800-227-7776.

Find your local store's hunter safety class schedule. The original Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Mo., typically holds one Missouri Hunter Safety Course in June and July and has several classes in August and September before the fall hunting seasons start.

Pre-register for this course. This requires calling or visiting your local Bass Pro Shops. The number to call for pre-registration at the Springfield, Mo., store is 417-891-5374.

Bring proof of your age to the class. According to the Missouri Department of Conservation in 2010, students must be at least 11 years old to attend, and those 15 and younger must bring a birth certificate or other proof of age to the course.
