How Can I Share Music on iTunes?

You can share music on iTunes.

Music files that have been saved on your computer can be listened to using the iTunes software. The music that you have saved in the iTunes library also can be shared with other users on your network. This will allow other computers to access and open those iTunes files. Sharing music via the iTunes software allow friends and family members using your network to preview music files that you have saved on your computer.

Instructions

1. Open the iTunes software.

2. Click on "Edit" ("iTunes" if you are using a Mac) at the top of the program. A drop-down menu will open.

3. Click "Preferences" in the menu. A window will open.

4. Click the "Sharing" tab at the top of the window.

5. Click the box next to the "Share my library on my local network" option. Then, click the "Music" option inside the window. If you want to set a password for your shared music, click the ""Required Password" box. Enter a password in the empty text box next to the "Required Password" menu.

6. Click "OK" in the window. The iTunes music will be shared on the network.
