How to Uninstall Norton Internet Security Firewall
Norton Internet Security includes a set of applications that are designed to prevent spyware and viruses from entering your computer using antivirus detection methods. This security suite features a firewall component that further blocks attacks from the Web. If you want to uninstall the Norton Internet Security firewall to switch to another or upgrade an existing version, you must uninstall the entire security suite using Symantec's Norton Removal Tool.

Retrieve the "Norton Removal Tool" from Symantec's support site. Save the tool on the desktop or any location where you can easily run it.

Double-click the "Norton Removal Tool" file to launch it. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Follow any additional steps shown on the screen if the computer restarts.

Tips & Warnings
You can also uninstall the Norton Internet Security Firewall by going to the "Programs and Features" or "Add/Remove Programs" items in the Control Panel. Click on the entry and click "Uninstall" to remove the application.
Make sure you download the correct "Norton Removal Tool" that is compatible with your operating system. Symantec offers two versions, with one of them being compatible with Windows 95, 98 and ME operating systems and the other meant for more modern operating systems.
