How to Use Butter Molds
The process of making homemade butter no longer occupies a modern cook the way it did in years past. When cooks used to make homemade butter using fresh dairy cream, the second step involved pressing it into a butter mold to add a decorative imprint to the top of the shape. Tips & Warnings
Some butter molds have a plunger with a decorative imprint. To remove the molded butter from these molds, you simply push the plunger down and the molded butter pops out of the mold.
Wash the mold in warm water with dishwashing detergent, but do not soak the mold in warm water.
Soaking and refrigerating the mold prior to molding your butter will keep the butter from sticking to the mold.
