How to Make Bubble Machine Solution
Where there are bubbles, there is usually fun and laughter. Bubbles are fun for children and adults, whether they're being blown outside or indoors at a fancy holiday celebration. You can buy commercial bubbles and bubble gear at the store to go with your bubble machine or make your own bubble solution and let creating the bubbles be part of the fun. Simple ingredients are all that's needed to create bubbles with staying power for your bubble machine.
Things You'll Need
- Dishwashing detergent
- Measuring cups
- Large bowl
- Water
- Spoon
- Glycerin
- Airtight container

Measure 1/2 cup of dishwashing detergent and pour into your large bowl. Add 4 1/2 cups of cool water and stir to mix. Stir just enough to combine the ingredients without creating a frothy lather.

Add 1/2 cup of glycerin to your soap and water solution. Glycerin makes your bubbles stronger and more long-lasting.

Pour your homemade bubble solution into your bubble machine and turn it on. Store any leftover bubble solution in an airtight container at room temperature.

Tips & Warnings
Pre-wet the bubble machine and any other bubble gadgets with which the bubble solution will come in contact. This will help bubbles not to pop prematurely.
Substitute corn syrup for the glycerin for staying power.
Bubble solution is very slippery. If any is spilled on walkways, rinse with plain water until there's no soapy residue left.
