You can back up your Firefox bookmarks to protect your browser's data from unexpected software crashes. The bookmark feature in Firefox lets you quickly go to your favorite websites and you can add a bookmark to a website by clicking on the star located on the right side of the address toolbar. Firefox creates backups of your bookmarks periodically, however you may want to manually back up your bookmarks if you have recently bookmarked several websites or are considering sharing the bookmarks with another computer.

Instructions

      Select "Bookmarks" from the menu bar located in the upper-left corner of the screen.

      Select "Organize Bookmarks" to open the Bookmark Library window.

      Click the "Import and Backup" button at the top of the Firefox Bookmark Library window.

      Choose "Backup..." from the drop-down menu box.

    • 5

      Browse to the location to store the Firefox bookmarks file.

    • 6

      Press the "Save" button.
