How to Sharpen an X-acto
Over time, your X-Acto knife's blade will dull.Although replacement blades are available for purchase at crafts stores, you can sharpen the existing blade to extend the life of the blade. The stone's rough texture smooths out the ridges formed in the blade due to continuous use, and creates a like-new sharpness to the blade. Sharpening stones are available alongside X-Acto knives at crafts stores as well as hardware stores. When using these stones it is important to carefully sharpen the blade, as misuse of the stone can cause serious injury.
Instructions

1
Hold the sharpening stone in one hand with your fingers away from the stone's surface, and lay the X-Acto knife's blade against the stone with the blade facing down.
-
2
Slide the X-Acto knife's blade against stone in a downward motion, away from your body.
-
-
3
Wipe the stone's residue off of the blade, and lay the other side of the blade against the stone. Slide the blade against the stone in a downward motion and continue scratching the blade against the stone until the blade is sharpened.
-
4
Wipe the remaining residue from the X-Acto knife's blade, and place the protective case back onto the X-Acto knife to prevent injury.

"Hold the sharpening stone in one hand"? Fingers on the wide edges or the narrow edges? Stone horizontal or vertical? Long axis of stone parallel or perpendicular to my body? "blade facing down"? The back, the side, or the edge of the blade? Down as in toward the center of the earth or as in toward the end of the stone? A picture's worth a thousand words... Can you please add at least a line drawing? (And unless you really mean the "sharpening stone" should "rotate", could you get rid of the misleading picture at the top?) Currently this is useless to me.
