How to Download Yahoo Messenger Mail Onto My Virgin Phone
Instant messaging has become a daily part of our lives for many of us and it is supported by more and more cell phones. Virgin mobile phones come with a number of Instant Messenger services. Yahoo! is one of them. If you already have a Yahoo! account set up, then downloading Yahoo! Messenger on your Virgin phone is just a few clicks away. The steps for download can all be accessed from your phone menu.
Things You'll Need
- Yahoo! account
- One of the following Virgin phones (as of May 2010):
- X-TC, Shuttle, Arc, Slash, Wild Card, Super Slice, Cyclops, Switch_Back, Snapper, Slider Sonic

Make sure you have a Yahoo! account. As long as you already have a Yahoo! account set up, you are good to go. If not, create a free account first (See Resources).

Go to "Messaging" on your Virgin phone, then select the "IM" option (on some phones, the option is "Email + IM") to launch the IM application.
You can also go to "Menu": select "VirginXL", select "Messaging ", select "More Ways to Message", finally select "Mobile IM" to download the IM application to your phone.

Select "Yahoo!" out of the IM choices that will appear.

Click "Yes" once the alert pops up on your phone prompting you to complete the download. The download should complete within a few minutes. You are now ready to use Yahoo! Messenger.
