Paper towels transfer the urine from one location to another. Wick up as much of the dog urine from your carpeting with a thick layer of paper towels. Toss out soiled paper towels and continue to soak up the dog urine with fresh paper towels until no further urine stain transfers to the towels.

Pour enzyme pet odor neutralizer on the site of the dog urine smell on your carpet, ensuring that you use enough to soak down to the carpet pad.

Press plastic wrap onto the site of the urine smell so the plastic wrap, pet odor neutralizer and carpet are all in contact. Allow the plastic wrap to remain on the site overnight so the enzymes in the neutralizer can break down and absorb odor-causing bacteria.
