Create a daily skin care regime to keep your skin clean and clear. Cleanse your face to remove dirt and pollutants that clog your pores. Apply a toner after cleansing to tighten pores. Moisturize in the morning and at night to keep your skin soft. Apply sunscreen before going outside. Exfoliate two to three times a week to remove dead skin cells.

    • 2

Begin a daily exercise program to keep your body toned and fit. Include at least 30 minutes of moderately intense activities a day, such as brisk walking or water aerobics. Also, include at least three 30 minute activities with a high intensity level, such as jumping rope or running, per week. These exercises burn calories and target your whole body. Vary exercises on different days to keep from getting bored.

Eat a well-balanced diet and take vitamin supplements, if needed. Vitamins such as Zinc, Vitamin A and the B complex group affect the look of your hair, skin, eyes and nails. Make sure you are consuming the suggested daily value of all your vitamins. Also, drink a lot of water to keep your skin moisturized.

Practice with your makeup routine. Find a foundation and cover-up that matches your natural skin tone. Use testers at the store to determine the right shade of foundation and cover-up. Rub the make-up on your hand and allow it three to five minutes to set. If it blends in with your natural skin tone after this time, you have chosen the right color. Experiment with different types of makeup techniques, such as smoky eyes, a make-up style wherein dark eyeliner and eyeshadow are blended and smudged to create a dramatic look that highlights the brow bone.

Read fashion magazines and study the style of current models. Look for ways to mimic those styles with your own wardrobe. Become fashion-forward by predicting what the new fashion season will bring.

Relax. Stress causes wrinkles and ages your skin. It may also cause your face to break out with acne. Reading a book and taking a bubble bath are both ways to reduce stress.

    • 7

Eliminate bad habits from your daily life, such as smoking, drinking or drugs, as these can cause your face to age faster than it normally would and reduce the elasticity of your skin.
