Instructions

    • 1

Pull out the dipstick and check the level of the engine oil, if you are starting the engine cold or for the first time this season. Fill the oil if the level is low.

    • 2

Open the gap for the gas tank and make sure that there is fuel in the tank. Fill the tank with fuel from your gas can if it looks empty.

    • 3

Verify that the traction drive lever and the auger drive lever have been disengaged or released.

    • 4

Set the throttle control all the way down or to the "fast" position and insert the key into the ignition. Set the choke lever to the right or "full choke" position.

    • 5

Press the primer button and wait two seconds. Repeat this step two more times. This will prime the carburetor with fuel.

    • 6

Pull handle on the starter cord continuously until the engine starts. Let the engine run for about a minute and then move the choke lever to the left.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the traction drive level or auger drive lever are engaged, the snow thrower will begin moving after it is started.
