How to Get My High School Diploma Fast
High school graduation requirements vary by state but usually include four years of English courses, three of Social Studies and Math, and two of Natural Sciences. Some schools may require foreign language studies, too, or some number of elective courses, such as Art, Computer or Music. Though it can be difficult to do, some schools allow you to take an accelerated path to get your high school diploma more quickly. This is ideal for those who are sure about their career goals.

1
Talk to your high school guidance counselor about your plans. Scheduling all of the required credits in fewer years can be difficult. Your guidance counselor can assess whether you are the type of student who could handle accelerated graduation and can help you arrange your schedule to accomplish it.
-
2
Fill your schedule with necessary classes. You'll need to take two English classes in one year if you want to graduate early. You may have to double up on other courses as well, and limit elective courses to the number required for graduation.

3
Pass the required standardized tests. States typically have standardized tests used to assess students' competence in certain areas. You may have to pass these before you can get a diploma. Your guidance counselor can tell you which tests you'll need to take.

Tips & Warnings
Your high school may offer the option of dual enrollment, where you can take courses at the local community college in addition to your high school classes. This allows you to get even more of a jump start. If you're considering applying to the more selective colleges, however, your extra time should probably be spent on extracurricular activities. Selective colleges may not give you credit for courses taken during high school.
There are no shortcuts to getting your high school diploma quickly. You need to complete the required courses if you want a legitimate diploma. Some websites will sell you a fake diploma and trick you into thinking it's a real one. It is not.
Not all high schools allow early graduation.
Graduating early may make you ineligible for local college scholarships. Check their requirements if this is a concern for you.
