  • Construction adhesive (Liquid Nails, for example)
  • Caulking gun

      Place the island at the desired location.

      Mark around the island with a pencil to ensure the island is set just where you want it.

      Insert the construction adhesive into the caulking gun. Trim the tip off the glue and puncture the seal inside with a sharp object.

      Carefully tip the island over more than halfway. A person to hold the island is necessary, to keep the island steady.

      Apply construction adhesive to the bottom of the island everywhere it will come in contact with the tile floor. Avoid getting too close to the outside edge, to prevent glue from seeping out from the edge of the cabinet.

      Carefully lower the island into position. Clean any excess glue.

      Give the glue plenty of time to dry.
