How to Open a Virtual Bank Account

You may wish to consider opening a bank account online.

Virtual Bank is an online banking account system that gives you access to your money just about anywhere. It also allows you to open accounts from anywhere in the world. Opening an account is similar to opening any other banking account except that everything is done online instead of in person. Outside of that difference, many of the features are the same, as are the requirements to open and keep the Virtual Bank account open.

1. Navigate to the VirtualBank.com website, then click the "banking" tab in the upper right-hand corner of the display screen.

2. Select the banking account you want to open (eMoney Market, savings account, checking account or CD). Click "apply now" next to the account you wish to open.

3. Fill in the required form, including your name, birth date, Social Security number, address, phone number and employment information.

4. Check off if you want an ATM card, then choose a four-digit PIN number. Type in an opening deposit amount (it must be at least $1,000) and click "continue.

5. Type in the account information from the bank you are sending the money from (such as the routing and banking number) and click "submit." Once the order is processed, you will be informed of your new account and will have complete access to your online virtual account.
