Ripping the movies off of your DVDs is an excellent way to not only back up your media, but to put that media on mobile devices such as your phone or iPod. Most users run into problems when trying to rip their DVDs because they use native software that came with their computer. Even though some computers now come with ripping software, most people will need third party DVD decryption applications to rip DVDs to their computer.
