How to Get a Copy of My 2006 W2
It is important to keep copies of prior year tax information for your records. Certain situations require that you produce exact copies of a previous year tax return. If you are unable to provide a copy from your personal records, one can be obtained by contacting the IRS, if the request is for a return for the current or the past 6 years. Transcripts can also be obtained from the IRS and will often satisfy a request.
