How to Make Rich Text

The rich text format is an intermediate word processor format.

The "Rich Text" format file is created by the Microsoft Windows program called "Wordpad," which is included in all versions of Microsoft Windows. A Wordpad document is called a rich text document because it can be edited and formatted in many different ways, unlike what is possible in very rudimentary word programs, such as "Notepad." Making rich text involves typing in a Rich Text format document and then saving the document.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Start" menu and select "All Programs."

2. Click on "Accessories" in the list of programs and open "Wordpad."

3. Type up whatever text you want to be in rich text format and then click the "File" tab on the top-left corner of Wordpad. Select the "Save" option. This will make another window pop up giving you the option of naming your file.

4. Type in a name for the rich text file you have created and click the "Save" button.
