How to Draw a Paw Print
Drawing paw prints can be a way to pass time and used for any occasion. Drawn paw prints can be used for invitations, as a party theme, supporting a sports team, or any type of kid's decoration. There is no wrong or right way to draw a paw print; it is a matter or style and preference. Paw prints are in all shapes and sizes on many different animals and can be drawn in a few simple steps.

1
Draw the pad of the paw print on a blank piece of paper with a pencil. The shape should be rounded but not perfect; every paw print is different. The size and shape of the pad can be altered to your liking.
-
2
Decide how many toes you want your paw print to have. Many paw prints, like lion, cheetah, and dog prints, have four toes but some animals have five toes, like polar bears or river otters.

3
Draw the center toe or toes just above the center of the pad. Starting with the center toes will help with symmetry on the paw print. Draw the toes to suit the style of print you want. Some toe prints are round and some have claw marks.
-
4
Add the rest of the toes to the paw print to complete it. Don't be afraid to experiment with different shapes or sizes; remember all paw prints are different.
-
5
Trace the paw print with a black pen. This makes the print look more finished. Erase any pencil marks you see outside of the pen.
