Things You'll Need

  • Jewelry wire
  • 2 Circular clasps
  • 2 Jewelry crimps
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Scissors

Instructions

    • 1

      Fold your jewelry wire into a small loop and insert it fold-first into the loop of the clasp.

    • 2

      Slide the crimp onto the wire so the crimp sits about a millimeter away from the loop of the clasp.

    • 3

      Using your needle-nose pliers, clamp down both sides of the crimp so that your wire stays securely tied into your clasp.

    • 4

      Repeat these steps once you get to the end of your jewelry piece, using the scissors to cut off any excess jewelry wire.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are using thick cord or hemp instead of wire, use cylinder-shaped metal clasps and tighten the clasp over the end of the cord with your needle-nose pliers.
