How to Make a Startup CD Disk With Windows XP With a Bootable CD-ROM
Creating a startup bootable CD ROM for your Windows XP computer will allow you to start your PC even if your Windows XP installation becomes corrupt or inactive. This will allow you to troubleshoot any number of issues with your computer, keeping it running smoothly. This is accomplished by burning a bootable startup CD using a DOS ISO file.
Things You'll Need
- DOS ISO file
- Blank CD
- CD burning program capable of burning an image CD

Visit Bootdisk.us and select a DOS ISO file for your bootable CD. Choose the highest version number where unsure.

Save the file to your desktop.

Insert the blank CD into the computer and open your CD burning program.

Choose the option to create an "Image" or "Boot" CD.

Drag and drop the downloaded file to the CD queue and press "Burn" to create your bootable startup disk for your XP computer.
